Hi Maurice.....I've got to say that you're the most entertaining poster on the forum IMO. Thanks for sharing your insight coupled with that cutting wit. Being Irish and living here in America I agree 100% with your comments (based on personal observation) on the evolution of individual cultures when they're thrown into the melting pot that is the US.

When I first came to America I met countless people who told me they were Irish but I was baffled by this. They talked, acted and behaved like Americans but I learned that even if they had one Irish Grandparent or even Great-grandparent they considered themselves Irish! At first I thought that these people were crazy but in a sense I found it kind of complimentary that they were proud enough of their ancestry to call themselves Irish (even though most of them probably had greater percentages of some other ethnicity). From what I read, it wasn't such a great thing to be Irish in this country not so long ago, but times have changed LOL.

Anyways I'm rambling......I'm trying to spread the gospel of Steinlager over here. Great little brew :-)
