Great article! More anecdotal evidence on housing: I was at a party last night in Temecula (inland bedroom community north of San Diego). On my friend's block, almost every house was listed for sale! He said they have all been listed in the last couple of weeks ... houses that sold for $300 to $350K just 3 years ago have been selling for $650K recently and everyone wants to cash in (2 families are moving to the midwest and need to sell).

I think inventories are increasing significantly right now. Earlier this month, I wrote that the New Homes Sales report would be strong, but wait for the May report. (I was wrong, the April report was off 11%)

I believe the next report will be ugly.
