11:16pm 05/31/04 <<TSCM buys machinery from Tokyo Electron, Novellus (NVLS, TOELF) By Anne Stanley SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Leading chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) reported Tuesday in a filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange that it has bought machinery from Tokyo Electron Ltd. (TOELF) valued at $168 million. The company also bought machinery from Novellus Systems (NVLS) for approximately $158 million in May, according to a report from AFX-Asia.>>
