Albert, you are starting to rank right up there with Cyber-Stalin for pointless, rambling and illogical comments, that raise no issues to discuss... merely serving to vent grade school insults.

Below is my original post again. (If you have any relevant comments to make, feel free... but I just skip over your childish insults.)

Re: It's a global economy. Starving the middle east is a lame idea.

Since that isn't what I said, I'm not very concerned about your comment (except in-so-far as it reflects upon your misunderstanding of the global economy.)

If the US supplied 100% of it's own energy, the Middle East wouldn't 'starve' at all --- they would just sell their oil elsewhere, since oil is sold in a global market.

All that would happen is that: 1) Our national security would greatly improve. 2) Our trade deficit would decline. 3) None of our money would be diverted to supporting Middle Eastern fundamentalists anymore. 4) We would not have to hang our ass out in the wind in the Middle East all the time because we were addicted to what they were selling... they could no longer hold the threat of "embargos" over our head.
