You are mentioning Ted Sampley. What credibility does he have. Doesn't he smear people for a living? Why would we listen to what he has to say and not to Kerry? Kerry is running for President and Mr. Sampley is doing it for a living. We have to weigh the situation, is it not?

On the other hand, both are Vietnam vets and we all owe our vets a sense of gratitude for serving our country honorably "so that we can enjoy the liberties."

I am impressed with Kerry since he saw the futility of the Vietnam war and formed an informed opinion based on his experience that the war was wrong. Any war fought on foreign soil has a very high potential for massacre of civilians, their torture etc. It also holds true for the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan.
