In Illinois if a person working on your property isn't insured and gets injured then the property owner has to pay. Cutting down trees isn't the safest thing to do.

I was thinking back to our conversation on corn pollination. A lot of hybrid seed corn gets raised in this area. They plant 2 rows of type A corn then 4 rows of type B corn. All the way across the field. When the corn starts to tassel, pollinate, the tassel are removed from the 4 rows of the B corn. The A tassels are left on to pollinate the field. If it's a new variety they will bag the tassels on the A corn and hand pollinate the B ears.

When they harvest they use pickers instead of combines, pickers take the whole ear and the seeds are removed from the cob later. Only take the B rows. The A rows are left to be harvested later for animal feed, oil ...
