The goal of the Federal Reserve is to set the monetary policy for the entire United States of America.

Alan Greenspan doesn't care whether there is a housing bubble in California, or a bubble in Florida. He only looks at the aggregate housing data for the entire nation. The aggregate data shows that there is no national housing bubble, period.

Outside of the areas you mentioned, housing is not all that strong. Just go to states such as Colorado, Louisiana, and West Virginia. AG has to set a policy that is suitable for those people as well, not just for you and me.

Your obsession with regional housing bubble is a strange one since the theme of this thread is supposed to be global. The world does not revolve around California.
