There is not equality in taxing incomes. The rich are unfairly abused.

Conscription is different from taxation and regulation in that generally, everyone shares equally in taxation on goods and incomes - they don't pull your name out of a hat.

That's why I don't advocate it. I prefer mandatory service, if you read my post properly..

Everyone is "taxed" that way.. And everyone has a common shared experience involving providing public service...

Do two years, and then be put on reserve status, and get on with their lives..

Hell, most of us wasted more than two years of our lives trying to figure out what to do after High School.. We certainly wasted the first two years of college changing majors and partying..

I don't see two years of mandatory service as being that much of a sacrifice.
