Does that mean all those "pet rocks" have been having a life of their own...and do you think they take on their owner's traits as well? I always believed mine did.

It may be that life/non-life is a false dichotomy. It is just that we have no easy way of understanding. I doubt they have self-awareness, though. Where would one rock end and another begin?

Certainly, plants respond or react. Perhaps the response of minerals is just too subtle for our current apprehension? Perhaps the stars are NOT lamps hung in the sky by Yahweh? We must never believe we have pulled back the last curtain on Truth. It is just another act in the Play...
