given RHATs success JBoss and MySQL might be good investments opps when they go out...

JBoss and MySQL: now with more street cred: Hewlett-Packard is extending its backing of open source software. The company today announced plans to support MySQL's database and JBoss' applications server, two widely used open-source projects. HP's decision, while only a tentative first step (it still doesn't directly support JBoss and MySQL on its HP-UX operating system, nor does it offer the software preinstalled) is an important endorsement, and one that will surely expand the software's user base. "This announcement gives us additional credibility for mainstream business customers," Zack Urlocker, vice president of marketing for MySQL, told ZDnet. "We're seeing increasing interest from companies that want to develop an entire open-source strategy that goes beyond Linux to embrace the full LAMP [Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP] stack."
