I too long for an honest debate. So shouldn't you point out the shrill voices on both sides<g>? Rational debate starts with each of us.

I supported Dole in '96. He is a good man and IMO would have been a fine President. Kerry reminds me of Dole in many ways; especially in his approach (shades of gray) to issues. Of course that contrasts sharply with Bush's black and white, "with us or against us", my way or the highway mentality.

Luckily for Dole, he didn't have to weather the Bush attack machine (probably the most negative campaign in history according to the Post). I wonder if he would have stood up as well as Kerry.

Actually I'm surprised you don't support Kerry ... but there is still time for you!

Best to all.

bcb,

A commentator on MSNBC just reported that the left's charges that Bush WH permitted bin Laden family to fly out of country before air space re-opened are completely false. He said 30 bin Laden family members were interviewed by the FBI before they took off on Sept 13 on chartered flights. They could have interviewed all members, but remarks were made that insinuated some of them were already wire tapped & the FBI had all the info it wanted on them.
Clarke made the decision that the family could leave USA.

Richard Walter, a UCLA film Prof stated that "Michael Moore is flamboyant and his films are dishonest". The prof said that the Right should be thrilled with Michael Moore because he's simply helping re-elect Pres Bush.
Walter's will be shunned by his fellow liberal UCLA peers for his honesty.
