I think I do know Kerry. In fact I know Kerry much better than you might think. I'm confident that Kerry will be able to lead the nation. He will be strong on defense and strong on bridging the ever widening gap between the US and our allies around the world. He will protect American jobs and the homeland. He will be aggressive against terrorists, and he will be more effective in that effort than Bush. Kerry knows the value of alliances and diplomacy. He also knows that the war on terror has many fronts. The military front is but one of those fronts.

Bush will likely go down in history as one of the worst presidents. It's mainly the fault of the ideologues he has gathered in his cabinet. The one moderate that I respect very much has been the odd man out in this administration, and he's not going to be back if Bush is re-selected, that's Powell of course.

If Bush is re-selected we'll get four more years of Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Cheney, and Ashcroft. That's a chilling thought that ought to have the nation pulling the lever for Kerry.
