Jacob is already a doctor, so it seems to me that he is already serving humankind.

The title doctor does not exclude you from being one of the bloodiest of all animals.

Josef Mengele, the "Angel of Death", was a doctor.

Unless he has resumed his practice, Jacob is an ex-doctor and has been for some time. He is now just a poster. His wife is the Doctor in the Snider house and she deserves credit for good deeds. Jacob deserves none of it. His
"noble words" not withstanding, nothing changes the fact that Jacob is a bad man. Mike
