Frankly, I think my view is less biased than yours...

Frankly I think its the other way around

...if for no other reason that you are motivated by ideology.

I'm not the only one.

I said what I said because I once believed like you that the American model was the best but through my own experiences and learning, I grew to realize that different models have different priorities and what the American system prizes most may not be what's best for Americans nor the best for the world.

I don't think it would be approved.........we've had years of people like your internet friend telling us that our model is the best thing since haagan daz and that the European model is dangerous, dirty and definitely unAmerican.

OK, so you are perfectly correct an unbiased but most people are brainwashed...

Thanks for agreeing.

Few have been to Europe

I've been to eight European countries.

So what? That doesn't change the point I was making.

Meanwhile, supersizing is literally killing us.

That has little or nothing to do with the issue at hand.

The governments in Europe, Canada, ect. don't forbid supersizing nor does the government in the US demand it. <?I>

How do you know? In many ways, the Europeans discourage excess. They place a large tax on gas to reduce consumption and encourage the development of other modes of transportation. Consequently, their public transportation system, both inter city and intra city, is much better than ours.

There are more bike thefts in Europe because there are more bikes that are used not just for recreation but for commuting.

They have worked diligently to keep their cities pedestrian friendly.......one by-product....less wasteful sprawl. For a long time, the French would not allow McDonald's to open in France and when did, McDonalds was required to follow strict guidelines. The list goes on.........

If it is true Americans overeat more then most Europeans

Huh? You don't think that's true?

then they would still do so if our system became more socialist unless the creeping socialism reduced our wealth enough that we couldn't afford to eat so much.

Like I said, most people do not eat to excess because they are happy. You do the math!
