Democratic Governor Granholm of Michigan is from Canada was elected in November 2002 - a bit before Arnold. Granholm would have been a good VP candidate for kerry. But.

Hatch is all mouth. It won't happen. Neither will the Electoral College change. To put it another way. These two issues will be changed about the same time that Roe v Wade is overturned. How about "never"?

There would have to be a constitutional amendment to allow that. IMO, there won't be the requisite 2/3 of the states to ratify such an amendment.

Anyone who reads will know that immigration is going to be a hot-button issue in the United States for the foreseeable future.
