Chris, there is no "current" rush. There has always been a rush to get into this overpopulated field, due to easy entry requirements.

However, staying in the field (at least in an educated, urban area) and actually making enough income to pay expenses now require so much money--plus the talent and ability to beat out sharp competition--that the entire field has gotten far more professional than it used to be.

Agent bashing remains a popular sport, however. In fact, bashing just about anything and anyone, especially on the internet, is a popular sport. And of course, the bashers are always richer, better looking, smarter, more experienced, and higher authorities on the subject than anyone else. <<gg>>
