I have a deep mistrust of anyone connected to the former Salomon Brothers operation (it is Salomon-Smith Barney is it not?) Salomon Brothers was among the most corrupt investment banking houses ever. Read Liar's poker by Michael Walker (who was a journeyman bond trader for SB) or one could equally well investigate the Treasuries Auction market manipulation they tried that cost John Gutfreund (head of SB) his job. If it's possible to manipulate a market to their profit at the expense of anybody (including I believe their own clients), they'll find it. jess.
