Walmart and its ilk have taken the heart out of the heartland.

Dearest KerrySpirit.

No one forces people to shop at Wal-Mart. They do it for a reason - low prices.

Who do you think Wal-Mart's primary shoppers are? Lower income people.

A number of the posters on this thread in all likelihood have the opportunity to say, "no, I won't shop at Wal-Mart" out of principle. Someone who makes $20,000 and has a family to feed doesn't have that luxury.

Do you think someone who makes $20,000 a year and has a family of 4 to feed should forego the opportunity to shop at Wal-Mart? Don't you think a saving of $50/month on product purchases is a potentially huge saving to someone making $20,000 a year?
