It is one of the cruelties of war that people should look to find novel ways of extorting the enemy into acquiescence. Sure.. we did it in WWII by bombing Japan with two nuclear weapons in order to save the lives of countless Americans AND Japanese.. Which, although very controversial, would be my logic in disseminating the rumour that, for any Islamic militants who seek to use violence to spread their totalitarian ideology, we are quite prepared to "guarantee" they don't collect their 72 virgins in paradise. One could only guess at the number of lives, on both sides, that might be saved by adopting and implementing such a PsyOps operation, regardless of the political consequences.. The key would be to maintain "plausible deniability" and never confirm or refute such an allegation.. Let the militants ponder the veracity of it.. Hawk
