Since I don't live in the Bay Area, I can only talk about published facts which you just saw. I am not trying to defend anything. I have no interest in the Bay area.

The Bay Area encompasses the Silicon Valley plus East Bay, North Bay, and surrounding areas. RE in Silicon Valley may be slowing, but not the surrounding areas.

When you say the Bay Area is slowing down, you're only thinking of the Silicon Valley, which is certainly not the whole Bay Area.

Have you considered moving out of the Bay Area, if that's possible?
