Remember when the NASDAQ was in a serious bubble but the DOW was not? It had bad side effects nevertheless.

Question, in the 7.7% figure you cited, is that the average percentage increase across American (that is, % increase of each home, added up and divided by # of homes), or is it the percentage increase of the value of all the homes as a congregate. Like when Cicso in '99 went up 100% but 12 small market cap stocks went up 0%; as a group, their average increase was 7.7%, yet the market cap increase 99%.
