<<That is certainly very tempting>>

So tempting that you'd be willing to go to work for a broker in order to keep your salesperson license? You'd have to do that, you know, and for the broker to keep your license on his wall, he'd probably expect you to sell something or boot you out.

What you need is a sole proprietor broker license, but in most states, you first have to have the salesperson license for several years, and/or complete a certain number of transactions under the supervision of a broker.

Also, if you aspire to make a career as a real estate investor, that license can actually hinder you in some ways. Might not be as tempting as it looks.
