try going back to 1954, when Buffett was started. if those guys had had the return of Buffett, they would have accumulated many tens of billions, instead of tens of millions. that's a factor of 1000.

That is a really dumb argument.

Of course, equally as dumb are the arguments of those who denigrate Buffett.

<<again, no need to let mere facts deter you.>>

Actually, he started in 1956, but let's not let the facts get in the way.

So, you want to compare Yale starting in 1981 to Buffet starting in 1956? Make no sense, but hey, let's look at it.

Performance Record

28.6% over 37 years: "Buffett Partnership... of 29.5% for 1957-69 inclusive. From 1970 through 1994, shares of Berkshire Hathaway advanced at a compound rate of 28.2% ", Buffett, Roger Lowenstein, pp. 425, note 1.

So dude, where are your facts? You still haven't posted any comparison data; just a pile of BS.

"try going back to 1954, when Buffett started"

If you'll notice from the article, the Yale guys didn't start investing until 1981. Why compare that to an investment starting in 1954?
