"And yet the American media goes on and on about Arafat and his corruption"

Where?

You can't be serious. Any American who reads a newspaper knows that Arafat is a crook with bank accts. in Europe. As for Sharon, I first learned of the corruption scandal surrounding him from Haaretz. During the two years since, I have seen articles about Sharon's court proceedings a few times.....mainly in the Guardian or the BBC......once in the NY Times. Very little is made of the subject.......esp. in this country.

In fact, the media deals more with Israeli corruption than PA, because one society is an open and the other will kill you if you question its integrity.

If you say so.

How many prominent Palestinians can you name (living that is) that are opposed to the use of PA terror tactics or are antiArafat. There's a laugh! Yet you are able to cite Haaretz criticism of Israel's policies. No way would you find Arab media that runs items that are antiArabestablishment.

I have read articles by Arabs who do not like Arafat and his politics. In fact, I just posted one by Mubarak of all people.....someone who doesn't have much room to talk. However, paramount to Arafat's bad boy politics is Palestine's independence. That issue alone will cause the Arabs to forgive Arafat his sins.

Besides, what fool would want his thankless job. If you don't do what Israel wants, they will hole you up in your office for two years.

You only see things from one side......try looking at it from the other side.........you might learn something.
