The Patriot act needs fixing. Why? Because in an extreme case it could allow an unethical administration to take over the country and make it a police state. Tommy Franks has warned about this. Ultra rightwing Senator Craig from Idaho also wants the Patriot Act fixed. I guess he's afraid of a leftwing takeover someday. The PA was rushed through right after 9-11. Now it needs re-thinking. Bush and Cheney are being dishonest to use it as an issue. Kerry is doing the right thing demanding the PA be re-assessed.
