AS, you know little about the economics of energy. Because of transmission losses, it's best to site energy plants near where the power will be used. If you put oil or coal burning plants in the desert, you still get pollution and global warming, and you have to pay more to transport the fuel the plants use. Coal plants are often sited now right where the coal is mined. Wind power isn't enough, solar is too expensive. If you want to help, put solar panels on your roof. It just costs about 90k, and you'll still have to buy some power. Your ideas are just NIMBYism.
