Cheney doesn't want pollution in his backyard either, but he's willing to put it anywhere else. Why don't we just work hard for the next 20 years and get rid of polluting fuels altogether, then this won't be an issue. It can be done if we all pitch in. Time for the GOP to separate itself from polluters. That is one of the biggest problems in this country and it makes for huge corruption.

There is a very happy population in Crystal River, FL., where we (they) have a nuclear power plant complex.
This, just outside the power plant, is the happy home of our manatees, the friendliest, rather unattractive species around. They love the warm water of the power plant's effluent water, pure and warm. I think they are beautiful. They get too close to power boats though, and get hurt at times.
Those SUV owners are paying the piper now eh?
Cost of pampered pets. America NOW can produce efficient internal combustion engines, but the oil "Bigdaddies" are not allowing that.
Maybe under Kerry we can get our act together.
We surely will not with Bush for 4 more years.

We could save a tremendous amount of oil with conservation. We're not being serious about it when half our people drive giant SUV's without any need to.
