They had military strength. So they just permitted themselves. Thank you. And when every surrounding Arab nation attacked Israel in 1948, they thought they had military strength, but they found out differently.. And Israel took that territory from them which they deemed necessary for their self-defense. And they did the same in 1967 when, once again, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan FOOLISHLY believed they could attack the Israelis without repercussions. And once again, the Israelis took their territory from them, in order to prevent future attacks against their country.. Thus, Israel had military strength. So they "permitted themselves" to occupy the West Bank and Gaza. So why are you griping when the Israelis fight Palestinians who are calling for the total destruction of their country, and attack Israeli civilians and use UN ambulances to transport their troops? You certainly should not blame the Israelis for capturing and occupying territory from which Arabs have CHOSEN to attack them.. Hawk
