Forget those higher gasoline and food bills and slack wages, just take the last of the April tax refund and the March refi and have one more fling in Vegas:

Buy a gas guzzler for the trip while you're at it, incentives, baby! It's only a "passing storm", "temporary gasoline price increase", the car people say so.

Foreign automakers again took market share again this month. Market share has eroded to 59.2% for the three domestic automakers. This is the second lowest market share ever for the Big Three, second only to August 2003, when Toyota overtook Chrysler for the number three spot.

Mandalay Resort says May hotel room revs up 15 pct

LOS ANGELES, June 3 (Reuters) - Casino operator Mandalay Resort Group's(NYSE:MBG - News) Las Vegas Strip properties had an average 15 percent rise in hotel revenue per available room in May, President and Chief Financial Officer Glenn Schaeffer said on Thursday.

He told investors on a conference call reporting first-quarter results that he saw room revenue for the balance of the year rising "right at the double-digit" level.

He also said that he expected free cash flow of about $6 per share this year and that total company cash flow could rise to $800 million within the 24 months, giving the company room to pay higher dividends, buy stock or reduce debt.
