If The Prize isn't particularly insightful, why read it? Life is too short to read bad books. Did I say it was a bad book? Not at all. This is what I said, which you have for whatever reason seen fit to distort: Yes, it was interesting in a historical big pic kind of way, but not particularly insightful Read the things you respond to slowly and deliberately, don't just use bandwidth for the sake of hearing yourself talk. Especially when distorting what others say. It was a Pulitzer Prize winner for nonfiction in 1992. It provided me with something I did not have until then, a comprehensive Big Picture history of the oil business. It was great for my purposes then. It is utterly inadequate for me now. You would probably profit from reading it.
