Did I say it was a bad book? Not at all. This is what I said, which you have for whatever reason seen fit to distort:

Read the things you respond to slowly and deliberately, don't just use bandwidth for the sake of hearing yourself talk. Especially when distorting what others say.

It was a Pulitzer Prize winner for nonfiction in 1992. It provided me with something I did not have until then, a comprehensive Big Picture history of the oil business. It was great for my purposes then. It is utterly inadequate for me now. You would probably profit from reading it.
