The rightwing oil lobby uses this "limousine liberal" tactic whenever clean energy and conservation are discussed. They use it to try and end any honest debate. Their message is that wealthy environmentalists are not allowed to put out the message because they have SUV's and big homes, etc. The Malibu, Santana Barbara crack about wind farms is right in there. So is the crack about Kerry and his wife's SUV's and homes. This cynical evasive tactic smears positive noble efforts to really get us on the right track to wean ourselves off Arab oil and oil in general. This should not be a partisan issue, as Bill O'Reilly has clearly stated. Americans need to start conserving and going more green. If not, we can expect more of the same we have now. Wars for oil, pollution and gouging at the pump.
