The AN/AAR-54(V) is a fourth generation missile approach warning system now in production. It employs four sensors per aircraft, each containing a number of optical components. The AN/AAQ-24(V) Nemesis is a directional infrared countermeasure (DIRCM) suite, the first in production and fielded for many years. It combines missile warning sensors and infrared countermeasures.
