It's nonsense. It would have taken months to get thousands of US troops to Tora Bora where OBL was thought to be in Nov. 2001. Months in which OBL was free to slip away.

But if that happened, Mr Clarke could tell his credulous journalistic friends that we FU'd big time by the delay and should have used Afghani forces more readily available.
