Tora Bora was in early Dec. 2001. You can use 12/6 as a starting date. Bush issued an ultimatum to the Taliban to turn over Al Qaida leadership on Sep. 20. Air strikes began Oct. 7.

if we couldn't get troops on the ground in that amount of time there is something wrong. We had several hundred special forces in the country which could have and should have been used to make sure that the Northern Alliance didn't allow osamma to escape. You seem to be saying it would have been impossible for us to have gotten troops to Tora Bora, I say we should have been able to have gotten them there.

You have very unrealistic expectations. We have to transport entire military units with equipment and supplies around the world into a landlocked country with a primitive transportation infrastructure. Doesn't matter who the Pres. was - we got troops there as fast as we could have. We did have SF's working with Afghan forces at Tora Bora BTW.
