The wounded soldier does not decide if he gets a Purple heart or not, bozo, and he doesn't ask for one either. They just arrive or they don't. Kerry did not ask for Purple Hearts he just got them. Same with his Silver Star and Bronze Star.

His commanding officer gave him superlative reports and he was clearly THE MAN in the Mekong as far as proactive heroism and courage goes. That makes republicans very jealous but it doesn't give them the right to smear a good honest war hero's name. Shame on you for trying.

And ask your father if he ever provided air cover for the Phoenix Program up the Mekong, which was the CIA's massive assasination program which used Special Ops as super assassins to terrorize villages.

BTW: I am not against the practice. I heard it was effective in scaring villagers away from cooperating with the VC. The VC did the same thing to us first so it was a tit for a tat. But everything Kerry reported in 1971 was true. Also, he really was wounded three times in combat. And his CO let him go home after 120 days straight of non-stop combat. Previously he served on a carrier escort in the Gulk of Tonkin in Navy combat situations. You should have your brain washed out with soap for attacking Kerry on his war record.

My fundraisers with Kerry started in 2002 and ended about a year later. They were at the Taplin, Edmonds, Gianopolos and Tellum residences. Actually it was five. The Bender residence too plus I assisted with an early rally at UCLA. That was before anyone was saying Kerry was the frontrunner. I also trde emails with a top Kery staffer but it has all gotten too big for me to be a player in it anymore. I was just there in the beginning and am damn proud I was. Kerry will make as great a president as he was a war hero. And you a vet's son above everyone should respect war heros.
