Credit Suisse First Boston raised earnings estimates on Intel (nasdaq: INTC - news - people ), saying a stronger second half in PCs and improved gross margin leverage will push shares of the chip giant to CSFB's $33 price target. On Thursday Intel, which CSFB rates at "overweight," narrowed second-quarter revenue guidance to the upper range of a previous forecast and also raised the midpoint of its gross margin. Citing a better communications group outlook, the research firm raised the 2004 estimate on Intel to earnings of $1.20 per share on revenue of $34.0 billion, from earnings of $1.15 per share on revenue of $33.6 billion. CSFB also raised the 2005 estimate to earnings of $1.35 per share on revenue of $35.7 billion, from earnings of $1.30 per share on revenue of $35.4 billion.>>

CSFB very recently said that 2H PC's would be "weak". Also, they show rising earnings in 2005 compared to 2004 - what is going on here?:)
