I am honored to be invited to a ceremony on Sunday, honoring all the WW2 vets who gave their lives standing up against exactly that type of Fascist hate, sixty years ago. My father in-law served in the Canadian Navy at D Day and we have been asked to accompany both he and his wife, to a local ceremony commemorating the anniversary. It's only been in the last couple of years that he has been able to talk about those memories. Least we forget... the battle still rages.
