Whew! That's what I sold them as when I worked in a garden shop.

Got that. The determinants are grown on some of the irrigated farms west of me. Bring in the crew and pick them all at once. I was wondering about how late you could stretch the others that we call nondeterminants here. Mid October is the latest I've seen here.

BTW, it's neat when the green beans ripen. The company that the crop is being raised for sends in combines that have soft brushes that sweep the beans off the plant. Not the heads that are used for corn or soybeans.
