Latest entry into the Darwin Award contest: Man drowned in kitchen sink

One jobless 45 year old drunkard, who was known to be part of the lokal drug scene, removed himself from the genepool upon his last return home. As police officers and coroner stated the man was found with severe burns drowned in his own kitchen sink - but it was not an easy death to manage. Upon return home, the man tried to climb through his own kitchen window, which was tilted open (hope you know what I mean - anchored at the bottom and open at the top at about 20-40 cm depending on Window). He slid down the side of the Window and got Stuck at chest level. He managed to squirm long enough, to get himself stuk at waist level - his head at level with the water tap. Now our hero turned on the water - but not any water! It had to be boiling hot water right out of the flow heater (geyser?, sink heater? - you coose) which caused severe burns all over his head. Why he didn't turn it off again - we will never know... Why he didn't unplug the sink, so that the water would drain out - we will never know... But the biggest enigma is still: why didnt he use the door - his keys were in his pockets all the time.

This is the story I'd like to tell. As you may have noticed I'm not a native english speaker ;-) So feel free to rewrite it a bit so its better understandable ...

This story is still developing, as it happened just yesterday. So this might become a Darwin award in the near future. For now it's just an honourable mention, although we can be pretty sure he won't be passing many genes around for the first few years.
Driving can be a boring thing. Our hero, a 19 year old male from the Dutch town of Blerick, had the perfect solution to fight boredom while driving. While driving the A67 highway during the night after eastersunday, he decided to impress his two passengers by putting the car on cruise-control at 20 Mph, get out of the car and run alongside it. Afterwards he would get in and drive on. While the entertainment value of this stunt is easy to see, our friend underestimated the speed of a car driving at 20 Mph. The moment he got out of the car, he fell over and slammed headfirst into the asphalt.

He now is in hospital with severe braindamage, and his condition is critical. One might wonder how braindamage could occur here, as it seems he didn't have much of a brain to begin with. Even if he lives, he deserves a place in these pages.

Zwaargewonde na stunt met auto

Uitgegeven: 12 april 2004 11:24

Your "gene pool" comment is one of the most crass I've read online in a very long time.

Shame on you.

Justify it any way you wish, anyone with two firing neurons won't buy your spinning.

Justify why your statement that RC is at least "out of the gene pool" is an appropriate thing to say.

<<Throwing yourself in front of moving agricultural machinery isn't idealistic, it's magical thinking, and it's very, very stupid. >>

Actually it's construction equipment. But on road jobs in the US there isn't anyone close to the dozers unless they are idling and then it's only oilers.
