Actually, I was thinking about that Chinese guy in Tiananmen Square when I thought of Rachel Corrie. The Chinese guy was as cool as a cucumber, and his actions were calculated. If he had come running from the sidelines and flung himself headlong onto the ground in front of the tank as it was moving, the story would have been very different.

He was a hero. She was a fool.

BTW, his shopping bags were probably full of pamphlets.
