Forgiveable, when one is known to inhabit the realm of academic fantasy land. However, out here in the real world "the core", the truly enflamed (of either party) constitute less than 25% or the American Population. Thanks for the laugh on the "McCarthy stuff" comment. You should truly consider the possibility that, when you throw out that McCarthy label (which you do fairly often). Isn't it a "cop out"? Even more sad, your use of the label IS actual McCarthyism.
