Sounds all quite proper except for one thing.

Joe's wife really does leave him. 50% divorce rate right now in the State of Oklahoma. Joe really can't behave. Gets girlfriend pregnant and can't pay child support. Joe does lose his house and ex-wife cannot afford house and house is foreclosed as wife marries old sugar daddy.

Joe is at his wits end, drinking to excess and finally misses too many days at work, losing job and girlfriend. Bank is adding another foreclosure and Joe files bankruptcy and goes to live with Mom and Dad. And on and on until the bank has so many bad housing loans that it closes.

End of Joe's story- beginning of biggest bank closures since the oil patch defaulted.

Hmmm.. Poor family, poor bank...poor real estate market.
