The appeal of the way of life seems universal, at least to the bosses and main acolytes.

One of the major downsides to Male Answer Syndrome -- you know, the male tendency to claim to have all the answers.

And of course, some of them do.

So it's hard to know whether to believe or disbelieve when they say things like "stick this needle in your arm, you'll come down with cowpox but you won't get smallpox" or "let me put these gigantic spoons into your vagina and you won't die from the baby getting stuck in the birth canal" or "this machine really will fly, take a ride with me" or "here, put these silk sheets on your back and jump out of the airplane".

I mean, men just come up with the craziest ideas, don't they?
