James > The very words envision to me a war that cannot be won but as the article comments, "using cannons to fight mosquitoes."

Is there, in fact, a "war" or it it just a pretext to invade some Muslim countries to control the oil and make things "sweet" for Israel? Indeed, 9-11 was the event that made it all happen -- the opportunity the neocons and the oil-boys had been dreaming about. No-one can tell me they didn't make/let it happen. They had so much to gain -- or so they thought.

Furthermore, there isn't a true war because no enemy has been identified. The war against "terror" is like a religious war against the Devil. Terror is everywhere, like the Devil is everywhere. In fact, as the article says, terror is a technique used to achieve an objective, it is not an end in itself. In the present situation confronting the US, not only has an enemy not been identified but neither has his objective in employing terror. Unless, of course, the terrorism is a technique which is being employed by the US/Israel in "false flag" operations to achieve devious ends which could not otherwise have been attained? Many people, including myself, believe it is just that.
