Funny. I was simply saying that I thought those programs were dramatically underfunded.

As for redistributional, the tax code, as you know, does that. The Bush tax cuts redistributed income from lower middle and middle income tax payers to the more wealthy. It's been a very long time since one could make the case that there has been even mild redistribution downward.

Most of it, in my view, is like social security tax payments--regressive.

But I'm wandering. I'm just killing time, waiting for my wife to finish something she's working on, so we can go run some errands.
