Watch Bush play for a Reagan bump now. He's always wanted to be like Reagan, but isn't. Bush is a divider not a uniter. Reagan had a gift for making even his political opponents like him, at least grudgingly.

When I heard Reagan was near death I actually was hoping he wouldn't die on November 21st. That kind of thing could throw the election. I remember FORREST GUMP helping Bush Sr. at the last minute.

I believe Kerry will win but only if something big doesn't hit the media right before the election which swings sympathy to Bush and the Republicans.

Of course it could go either way. Jean Carnahan won after her husband was killed in a plane crash. Mondale lost after Wellstone was killed. Of course Bush was using the Iraq War in 2002 to steal the entire election so that was a bigger event I guess. Also, Mondale was pretty old hat by then.
