Kerry is only far away from Reagan on issues he should be like the environment, battling corruption, energy reform and balancing the budget. Reagan did some things right but we mustn't forget the things he did wrong. Those are things Kerry would never do, like Iran-Contra, the S+L debacle, throwing mental patients out on the street to create the homeless crisis and over-spending on doomsday weapons systems. Reagan like GW also left us with a huge deficit as you remember. After the party was over, Bush Sr. had to pay.

What made reagan great was not his policies, it was his warm humor and charisma. He made even his opponents like him so he was a uniter. Bush has the opposite effect.
