The old adage that corporations will act in their own best interests, and not that of its customers, certainly applies.

Imagine if the Enron Principle were applied to state security. Imagine a private US military, run by arrogant and incompetent amateurs, acting not for the good of the people or for their security, but to further their own careers, interests, and goals. Imagine that military starting a war against a country for no good reason other than to prove their harebrained theories and generate a self-fulfilling requirement for more money and power.

Oops, I guess that isn't so hard to imagine, now, is it?

I guess Lay and Bush have more in common than we thought...
