<<He would be astounded at Kerry's votes against all the major weapons now saving American lives in Iraq.>>

Sure, it has saved 800+ American lives thus far!

Hey, get used to saying "President Kerry," because it is going to be him in a landslide victory.

Economic Historians will remember Reagan as the peacetime President who tripled the national debt.

Ann, you are a vile liar. Reagan was operating during the Cold War. We face no such threat now, in part thanks to Reagan. The "cuts" in defense you're talking about were roundly supported by BOTH parties as the peace dividend AFTER the COld War had ended. Bush TV ads don't telll viewers this, do they? So of course, they are lies.

Why the hell did we need huge nuclear systems when we had no arms race anymore? Kerry joined Republicans like Shelby of Alabama and Dick Cheney to supporting cutting back on the CIA (whose job it was to fight the Cold War) and certain systems. Other bills which rightwingers mention were chock full of pork and we were trying to balance the budget at the time.

Kerry has also voted FOR every single weapons system except the MX Missile which was the last gasp of the Cold War spending and not needed. Kerry even supported the useless SDI which Reaganites loved so much and which Bush made his #1 priority in 2001, totally ignoring terrorism.
