Raced out of there, under the watchful eye of the media? I'm not defending his record, but this is all back seat driving. As I said before, the bigger picture is what happened leading up to that day. There is plenty of blame to go around. So, how long did you say he kept reading? And what does that have to do with what could have been stopped? It would have happened any way whether he jumped up and raced around like a chicken with its head cut off. What do you think the point is, that he could have staved off the jets from crashing into their targets? That is UFB considering what people knew 35 minutes into the attacks. Shooting down innocent people on a plane would have been killing innocent people just the same. Dammed if you do and dammed if you don't. Would you consider him a hero if he had shot down the planes???? What if 93 had somehow landed? That would have been a tragedy too if it had been shot down by friendly fire.
